Self-care Sunday's (or any day)

Self-care is so important, but often neglected. We tend to put ourselves second (or third, fourth, last) after our relationships, our jobs, our social activities. Here are 30 easy ways to practice self-care. If we don't give ourselves the love and care that we need, how can we even be our best selves in our relationships, our jobs, our social activities?


  • Get outside and go for a walk

  • Learn some new dance moves

  • Take a hike down an unknown trail

  • Play with animals

  • Take a nice, hot shower or bath

  • Rearrange your furniture or add some new home decor (such as fresh flowers)

  • Visit your favorite coffee shop

  • Get in a good workout

  • Curl up in bed and take a much needed nap

  • Eat energizing, health foods


  • Read a good book

  • Learn to draw something new

  • Find a fun DIY activity (on Pinterest or elsewhere) and do it

  • Buy a coloring book and color away (this can actually be very meditative!)

  • Complete a puzzle

  • Turn off your phone and decompress

  • Ask for help when you need help

  • Take a break and detox from social media

  • Read inspiring or motivational quotes

  • Listen to calming music

  • Write down your current thoughts and feelings


  • Turn on your favorite song and put it on repeat

  • Find a quiet place and meditate

  • Light your favorite candle

  • Slow your breathing

  • Take a 10 minute break from what you're doing

  • Put on fresh, comfy clothes

  • Spend time with your loved ones

  • Watch your favorite TV show or movie

  • Call up a good friend and catch up
